This campaign was initiated to encourage and support essential workers such as healthcare, caregiving, sanitation, transportation, and delivery workers who inevitably have to perform face-to-face labor even amid the COVID-19 situation.
Governor Jeon Dong-pyeong, who participated in the campaign upon the nomination of Kim In-ho, Chairman of the Seoul Metropolitan Council, held a sign that read "Thank You, Essential Workers" to express respect and gratitude.
Governor Jeon Dong-pyeong of Yeongam-gun said, "I sincerely express my respect and gratitude to the essential workers who sweat day and night to maintain basic social functions," adding, "I will strive even more to create a society that respects those who quietly do their best in their positions despite concerns about their own safety during the COVID-19 situation."
