View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Following the increase in 'home drinking' due to the impact of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), the number of 'home bar' enthusiasts who make various cocktails at home is also rising.
Homeplus announced on the 13th that sales of cocktail-related liquors such as tequila, vodka, whiskey, and gin grew by 23% compared to the same period last year, from February this year when COVID-19 began to spread until the end of last month.
This is analyzed to be due to the difficulty of outdoor activities and the impossibility of overseas travel caused by COVID-19, leading more people to make cocktails at home to create an atmosphere as if they were abroad.
Accordingly, Homeplus is newly selling ▲Nicob Vodka ▲Gin Gard ▲Negrita White Rum, which are easy to enjoy as cocktails at home, in line with the increasing trend of these ‘home bar’ enthusiasts.
The manufacturer ‘Bardinet’, which produces ‘Nicob Vodka’, ‘Gin Gard’, and ‘Negrita White Rum’, is a French representative liquor company with 170 years of history, founded in 1857 in Burgundy, France. It produces a variety of liquor categories such as whiskey, liqueur, gin, vodka, tequila, and brandy, and is recognized as a global liquor specialist company.
In particular, ‘Nicob Vodka’ (alcohol content 37.5%) features a unique and distinctive aroma derived from grains, well balanced, and offers excellent cost-effectiveness with a price of 9,900 KRW per 700ml bottle.
‘Gin Gard’ (alcohol content 37.5%) is characterized by a rich aroma of juniper and orange blossom within its clarity and a smooth taste. It is reasonably priced (9,900 KRW) and pairs well with carbonated water such as soda or tonic water.
‘Negrita White Rum’ offers a balanced complex flavor of sweet fruit and citrus aroma, with a clean and smooth taste. It is optimized for enjoying as a mojito using apple mint, lemon, tonic water, and lime juice.
