[Breaking News] Seoul New Confirmed Cases Remain in the 20s for Four Consecutive Days... Total 5,533 Cases
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Suwan] The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 11th that the number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in Seoul increased by 23 in one day on the 10th.
The daily number of new confirmed cases in Seoul was 33 on the 6th, then decreased to 20 on the 7th, and remained in the 20s for four consecutive days. All 23 newly identified patients were confirmed on the 10th. As of midnight on the 11th, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in Seoul reached 5,533.
Among ongoing cluster infection cases, one new confirmed case each was reported at Dobong-gu Dana Hospital (Seoul cumulative 59 cases) and Mapo-gu Seoul Design High School (cumulative 8 cases).
Additionally, among the new confirmed cases, 2 were contacts of confirmed cases from other cities/provinces (cumulative 244 cases), and 11 were classified as 'Others' (cumulative 2,873 cases), which includes old cluster infections and sporadic cases. Four cases (cumulative 962 cases) with unidentified infection routes are under investigation.

On this day, Seoul's 64th COVID-19 death was disclosed. The deceased was confirmed positive on the 9th of last month and was hospitalized at Seonam Hospital, passing away on the 10th of this month. The connection to cluster infections is under investigation.
