[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] Kim Kyung-ho, CEO of Tesla Korea, stated regarding some illegal devices that disable the autonomous driving warning system, "We strongly educate about the dangers whenever we have the opportunity."
Kim appeared as a witness at the National Assembly's Public Administration and Security Committee's audit of the National Police Agency on the 8th, responding to People Power Party lawmaker Kwon Young-se's remark that "there is a 'helper' that makes it impossible to tell whether the driver is holding the steering wheel or not."

Kim explained, "In the case of the Tesla Model 3, it is automation level 2, where the driver holds the initiative in driving," adding, "Depending on the road environment, if the driver does not hold the steering wheel for about 15 seconds to 1 minute, a warning sounds." He further added regarding illegal devices, "We will actively cooperate with the government if necessary."
