Seo Wook and Esper Talk with US Defense Secretary... "Strengthening the ROK-US Alliance"
[Asia Economy Yang Nak-gyu, Military Specialist Reporter]On the morning of the 8th, Defense Minister Seo Wook spoke with U.S. Secretary of Defense Mark Esper and reaffirmed the importance of strengthening the steadfast ROK-U.S. alliance and close cooperation, the Ministry of National Defense announced.
Secretary Esper congratulated Minister Seo on his appointment and expressed anticipation for the face-to-face consultations at the 52nd Security Consultative Meeting (SCM) to be held in Washington D.C., USA, on the 14th.
Minister Seo expressed gratitude for Secretary Esper’s hospitality and agreed to closely cooperate for the successful hosting of the SCM. The two ministers also agreed to continue cooperating to deepen and develop the ROK-U.S. alliance in a future-oriented and mutually complementary manner.
