Baemin Adds 'Takeout·Visit' Tab to App... "Enhancing Convenience"
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Baedal Minjok (hereinafter Baemin) announced on the 7th that it has enhanced the convenience of the takeout order function by newly adding a ‘Takeout·Visit’ service tab on the main screen of its application (app).
The app main screen revamp was implemented to intuitively improve the user interface (UI) in line with the increased importance of social distancing due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), aiming to further activate contactless takeout orders.
Baemin placed the Takeout·Visit tab, one of the menu category icons, alongside the ‘Delivery’ tab at the top of the app to increase visibility and clearly distinguish between delivery and takeout orders.
When users tap the Takeout·Visit tab in the app, menu category icons and a dedicated search bar for takeout orders appear, allowing them to enjoy their desired food more quickly and conveniently.
By using the ‘View on Map’ feature, users can immediately explore the locations of nearby stores.
Baemin plans to update the app so that store owners can more easily provide directions to their restaurants. Additionally, owners will be able to register convenience facility information such as parking, valet parking, group seating, wireless internet, and pet-friendliness, which will be displayed as store information within the app.

We will continue to improve the system so that social distancing is well maintained through Baemin’s takeout orders and to help store owners expand their takeout order sales.”
