Chungnam Plants 2,160 Landscape Trees in Mountain Village Ecological Communities
[Asia Economy (Hongseong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Chungnam Province announced on the 7th that it will plant 2,160 trees of 18 species of landscape trees, including firewood trees and fruit trees, in 12 mountain village ecological communities within the province.
Previously, the province has been promoting tree planting and care in the region by holding tree distribution events around Arbor Day every year.
However, this year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, on-site events such as tree distribution have become difficult, so the province explained that it will deliver the trees directly to the mountain village ecological communities.
To minimize face-to-face contact, the province plans to transport and deliver the trees directly to each mountain village ecological community by the 20th of this month.
