Allegation by Han Dong-hoon Prosecutor General Claimed by Senior Prosecutor Connected to Former Channel A Reporter Lee Dong-jae
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] Lee Cheol (55), former CEO of Value Invest Korea (VIK), who claims to be a victim of the 'alleged collusion between prosecutors and reporters,' testified that a high-ranking prosecutor connected to former Channel A reporter Lee Dong-jae (35) is Prosecutor General Han Dong-hoon (47).
On the 6th, Lee appeared as a witness at the continuation trial of former reporter Lee and Channel A reporter Baek (30) held under the presiding of Chief Judge Park Jin-hwan of the Criminal Division 1 at the Seoul Central District Court, and revealed this.
He said, "My lawyer mentioned Prosecutor Han," adding, "I was told that the high-ranking prosecutor connected to reporter Lee is Prosecutor Han, so I asked again." When the prosecution asked, "Are you saying that the high-ranking official connected to former reporter Lee is indeed Prosecutor Han?" Lee replied, "Yes."
However, Lee could not specifically explain in what context Prosecutor Han was mentioned during the conversation with his lawyer, nor how he came to know that Prosecutor Han was involved.
