Muan-gun Conducts 'On-site Inspections of Religious Facilities' to Prevent COVID-19 Spread
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Muan County, Jeonnam (Governor Kim San) announced on the 5th that, following the implementation of social distancing level 2, it has designated a 1:1 dedicated person for 179 churches in the area since August 23 to conduct on-site inspections before Sunday worship services every week.
The inspection items include compliance with the prohibition of gatherings of more than 50 people indoors and more than 100 people outdoors, availability of hand sanitizer, mask-wearing, preparation of visitor logs, and maintaining a distance of at least 2 meters between users, among other quarantine rules.
Park Sang-gyu, chairman of the Muan County Christian Association, said, “We actively agree on the necessity of social distancing and will strictly comply with quarantine rules to prevent COVID-19.”
