"Let's Study Hangul with Pinkfong"… KT Launches 'Pinkfong Hangeulirang'
Educational Content for Ages 4-7 Including Hangul Quizzes and New Word Creation
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] KT is launching a Korean language education service using the Pinkfong character.
On the 5th, KT announced that it has launched the ‘Pinkfong Hangeul-i-rang’ service in collaboration with global content company SmartStudy, allowing users to learn Korean easily and enjoyably on the AI TV Giga Genie.
Pinkfong Hangeul-i-rang is an educational service for children aged 4 to 7 that enables easy and fun learning of Korean through Korean nursery rhyme videos, Korean quizzes, new word creation, and singing along.
Pinkfong Hangeul-i-rang offers a total of 14 nursery rhyme videos from ‘Ga’ to ‘Ha,’ including ‘Mask Ball,’ ‘Try Like Me,’ and ‘The Flying Hippo.’ After watching the nursery rhyme videos, children can enjoy quiz games using the words learned from the rhymes. When they answer correctly, a praise stamp appears on the TV screen to motivate them. Additionally, features such as new word creation and singing along help children learn Korean easily and enjoyably through play.
The Pinkfong Hangeul-i-rang service includes the ‘Giga Genie Partner’ feature, which calls the child’s name. After registering the child’s name in the Giga Genie app and using the Pinkfong Hangeul-i-rang service, Giga Genie will call the child’s name and interact with them.
Pinkfong Hangeul-i-rang is a paid service, with each episode priced at 330 KRW (VAT included), and the entire 14-episode series available for 3,300 KRW (VAT included). The service can be used for 7 days after purchase, and the ‘Ga’ episode is available for free trial.
To celebrate the launch of Hangeul-i-rang, KT is holding an event for customers who purchase Pinkfong Hangeul-i-rang until the 31st. Prizes include a set of 4 Pinkfong Sound Workbooks (300 winners), a 1-day Pinkfong Karaoke usage coupon (300 winners), Wonderstar Coloring 3D Puzzle (10 winners), Hogi Melody Maze Puzzle (5 winners), and Pinkfong Melody Bicycle Doll (3 winners).
