Short Film 'Heart Attack' Shot with Galaxy S20 to Be Released Online on the 5th
First Short Film Project Highlighting Galaxy Smartphone Camera Features
Feature Film, Trailer, and Poster All Shot with Galaxy S20 Ultra
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] Samsung Electronics will release the short film "Heart Attack," shot with the Galaxy S20 Ultra, online on the 5th.
"Heart Attack" is the first work in the global short film project "Filmed #withGalaxy," which highlights the excellent camera features of Galaxy smartphones. Rising Chungmuro director Lee Chung-hyun and actress Lee Sung-kyung star in the film. The production was handled by Yong Film, known for its distinctive mise-en-sc?ne and fresh storytelling in films such as "The Beauty Inside" (2015), "The Handmaiden" (2016), "Lucky" (2016), and "Believer" (2018).
All filming for "Heart Attack," including the main film, trailer, making-of footage, shooting tips, and posters, was done using the Galaxy S20 Ultra. Among the various camera features of the Galaxy S20 Ultra, the "Pro Video Mode," which allows users to manually adjust ISO, shutter speed, and exposure, and the "Super Steady" mode, which minimizes shaking for stable video recording, were used the most.
The film boasts dense visual quality that makes it hard to believe it was shot solely with a smartphone. Using a smartphone, which is smaller than traditional filming equipment, it presents unique shooting techniques and vivid scenes.
Director Lee Chung-hyun said, "'Heart Attack' is a romance film with a lovely twist. By capturing angles and movements that are impossible with large cameras or equipment using the Galaxy S20 Ultra, ideas that were previously unimaginable came to mind. The filming techniques in this movie are something anyone with a smartphone can try and attempt at least once."
