Expansion of SME Participation in Public Procurement... Reflected in Performance Evaluation of Integrated Technology Market Usage
Technologies Certified at the Integrated Technology Market to Receive Commercialization Funding Starting Next Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] Starting next month, a system will be established that allows products from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to be certified and supplied to public institutions through direct contracts.
On the 25th, the Ministry of Economy and Finance announced that it has distributed the plan to establish the 'Integrated Technology Market for Public Institutions,' an evaluation and purchasing platform for innovative SME products, to 340 public institutions.
The Integrated Technology Market is an online platform that supports public institutions in purchasing innovative technologies and products from SMEs based solely on their technological capabilities, without restrictions such as delivery performance. From the SMEs' perspective, they can obtain public institution bidding information and complete review, certification, and registration all within the Integrated Technology Market.
The Ministry of Economy and Finance also decided to exempt purchasing officers from liability in cases of losses arising from direct contracts for innovative products, except in cases of intentional or gross negligence. Furthermore, they plan to encourage participation by reflecting the usage performance of the Integrated Technology Market in the management evaluations of public institutions.
