Gimhae City Implements Comprehensive Chuseok Holiday Plan ... 26 Detailed Measures Enforced
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Woo-kwon] Gimhae City, Gyeongnam Province announced on the 24th that it has established a comprehensive plan for the Chuseok holiday and will focus on its implementation until October 4th to ensure that citizens can have a healthy and safe Chuseok.
During this holiday, along with operating a comprehensive situation room, the city will implement comprehensive measures in eight areas: ▲ quarantine measures to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) ▲ special traffic measures ▲ price stabilization and unpaid wage countermeasures ▲ various disaster and accident preparedness measures ▲ citizen health and safety measures ▲ measures to alleviate citizen inconvenience ▲ creating a warm and frugal Chuseok atmosphere ▲ strict establishment of public service discipline, with a total of 279 personnel entering an emergency duty system.
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, the quarantine system will be strengthened, including mandatory mask-wearing orders on public transportation, quarantine measures for funeral facilities through the establishment of an online memorial system, and focused quarantine of high-risk facilities.
In particular, at Gimhae Memorial Park, to prevent the spread of COVID-19, a ‘one-day total visitor reservation system’ will be implemented, restricting visits during the Chuseok holiday period to those who make advance reservations through the website.
To prevent medical service gaps, emergency medical institutions and holiday duty pharmacies will be designated and operated to activate a 24-hour emergency medical system. Emergency room treatment at emergency medical institutions will be strengthened, and rapid response teams will be organized and dispatched or on-site emergency medical centers will be established as needed.
The number of express and intercity bus operations will remain the same as usual but will be flexibly increased as needed. Traffic management teams will be deployed in congested areas such as traditional markets and terminals to intensively manage traffic.
To prevent inconvenience to citizens caused by household waste, illegal dumping control teams and the Waste Inconvenience Reporting Center will operate normally during the holiday, and if an emergency situation such as a sudden increase in waste volume occurs, inspectors will handle it urgently.
