[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-gyu Lee] Naver announced on the 24th that it held the '2020 NULI Webinar' together with the National Information Society Agency (NIA) on the 23rd.
The 2020 NULI Webinar is a webinar-format conference of the 'NULI Seminar,' which has been held since 2012. This conference was planned as a non-face-to-face event using Naver TV due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The event focused on the theme of 'The Age of Contagion, Non-face-to-face Services and Information Accessibility.' Experts from domestic and international IT companies such as Google and Woowa Brothers, including blind test engineers and developers working at Naver, introduced technologies and cases to improve information accessibility. In academia, Professor Hyun-kyung Kim from Kwangwoon University participated and shared research results on 'Kiosk Accessibility as a New Challenge and Exploration Measures.'
The presenters shared various cases and views on digital inclusion methods. Naver introduced accessibility improvement cases in 'Smart Editor ONE,' a content publishing and editing tool. Developers Juyong Lee and Kwangmin Oh from Naver said, "To improve accessibility, it is essential to view services from the user's perspective above all," and shared their experience of blocking vision and using the service to improve the writing environment for blind users.
