[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] On the 22nd at 10:10 a.m., Noh Hyun-song, Mayor of Gangseo-gu, held a 'Chuseok Comprehensive Measures Inspection Meeting' in the mayor's office with the deputy mayor, directors, and heads of relevant departments in attendance.
He received a general report on the comprehensive Chuseok measures, including cleaning measures, medical measures, traffic measures, and safety measures during the Chuseok holiday period, from Jeong Han-jo, Director of the Planning and Finance Bureau.
Mayor Noh Hyun-song stated, "Although the spread of COVID-19 has temporarily slowed down, the upcoming Chuseok will be a turning point for quarantine management and the COVID-19 pandemic," and urged, "Since we cannot let our guard down, I ask all residents to refrain from visiting their hometowns and traveling during this Chuseok."
He also emphasized, "We must pay closer attention to ensure that those in difficulty are not neglected, and thoroughly conduct pre-quarantine and safety inspections of multi-use facilities vulnerable to infection, welfare facilities, and traditional markets."
In particular, he instructed, "Strengthen the operation of COVID-19 screening clinics during the Chuseok holiday period and thoroughly operate separate task forces for cleaning, traffic, and disaster sectors closely related to residents' lives."
