Hong Jun-pyo: "Opposed to the 4th Supplementary Budget... Government Seems Crazy for Not Being Able to Give Away Money"
"Would You Do That If It Were Your Own Money?"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Hong Joon-pyo, former leader of the Liberty Korea Party, stated on the 22nd that “for any reason, I oppose this 4th supplementary budget.”
On the same day, Hong said on Facebook, “This supplementary budget, which revealed the limits of the government's management capability, is not problematic because of its content,” adding, “How incompetent must this administration be to face an imminent crisis without foresight and borrow money four times a year to pass supplementary budgets?”
Hong criticized, “It is truly outrageous how they are handling the exponentially increasing national debt,” and “Given that supplementary budgets are being passed every two to three months, I doubt the significance of deliberating the main budget.”
