Ferrari Unveils Convertible GT 'Portofino M' with Maximum Output of 620 Horsepower

[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] Ferrari unveiled its 8-cylinder convertible GT, the 'Ferrari Portofino M,' online on the 16th (local time).

The Portofino M is the first new car introduced since the reopening of Ferrari's Italy factory in May. Through the Portofino M, Ferrari pursued heritage, passion, and perfectionism. These meanings and values that Ferrari strives for are represented by the letter 'M' in Portofino 'M.' Ferrari attaches the 'M,' which stands for 'Modificata' (Modified), only when the performance of the existing model has been significantly improved.

The Ferrari Portofino M delivers perfect GT performance and driving pleasure with ▲a 620-horsepower V8 engine improved by 20 horsepower ▲a new 8-speed transmission ▲and the first-ever 5-mode Manettino with Race mode added to Ferrari GT Spider models. Additionally, it features a design emphasizing greater dynamism and enhanced advanced safety and convenience features, optimizing practicality for everyday driving.

Ferrari Portofino M

The Portofino M is equipped with a V8 engine that has won the Engine of the Year award for four consecutive years and produces a maximum output of 620 horsepower, 20 horsepower more than the previous Portofino. It is the first Ferrari open-top model to feature an 8-speed transmission. The newly designed 8-speed wet dual-clutch transmission has a module size reduced by 20% compared to the previous 7-speed transmission, while torque delivery has improved by 35%. Furthermore, for the first time in a Ferrari GT Spider model, the 5-mode Manettino allows easy control of the vehicle's handling and grip.

The redesigned bumper and front end, sportier and more aggressive, visually demonstrate the technical advancements of the Portofino M. The interior and exterior design simultaneously express sleekness, softness, and flexibility.
