The Ministry of the Interior and Safety conducted an urgent preliminary damage survey, similar to the one during last month's heavy rains, significantly shortening the investigation period required for declaring special disaster zones. Based on this, it plans to provide faster support for the restoration of damaged facilities and the stabilization of residents' lives in the affected local governments.
Additionally, from today until the 18th, the 'Central Disaster Damage Joint Investigation Team' will be dispatched to the typhoon-affected local governments to review the possibility of additional special disaster zone declarations for areas not initially included in the priority declaration and to establish recovery plans for the typhoon-affected regions.
