Lotte Department Store Introduces 'One-on-One Customized Home Styling Consulting Service'
From the 18th, a 6-week customer consulting service in partnership with an interior design consulting firm
Non-face-to-face consultations considering the COVID-19 situation and offline booth operation planned for late October
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-sun] Lotte Department Store will introduce a 'one-on-one customized home styling consulting service' tailored to customers' lifestyles and preferences starting on the 18th.
Autumn is a traditional peak season for interior design, coinciding with the wedding season and moving period. Especially this year, due to the impact of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), interest in interior design has increased among the 'Jipkok' (home-staying) crowd who spend most of their time at home, and the interior market is expected to grow further.
Lotte Department Store explained, "We have introduced a home styling consulting service that allows customers who are unsure where to start with interior design to receive expert consulting without having to visit offline stores in person." They added, "In partnership with Home Latte and Home Liaison, professional consulting firms composed of home styling designers, we will recommend products tailored one-on-one to customers' lifestyles, preferences, and budgets through a one-hour consultation."
The consulting service will be conducted for six weeks starting from the 18th, and due to the resurgence of COVID-19, it will be offered as a non-face-to-face service for four weeks until the 16th of next month.
When customers make advance reservations for consultation dates and times through the Lotte Department Store application or website, designers from the home styling consulting firms will conduct consultations using video consultation programs. Customers can show various spaces in their homes in real time to the designers via their smartphone cameras without installing any separate programs. Designers can check the structure of the space, wallpaper or floor colors, materials of other furniture, and layout without visiting the site, providing accurate and detailed consultations.

From the 23rd of next month to November 5th, a consultation booth will also be operated for two weeks on the 10th floor of the Jamsil branch's 'On and The Living' store. Leveraging the strengths of offline service, customers can directly check furniture materials and colors through various sample books, and if desired, customers can also go shopping accompanied by professional designers within the Jamsil branch store.
