[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ga-yeon] Korea University announced that Professor A tested positive for COVID-19 and that the professor was a close contact of a staff member at Asan Science Hall who tested positive on the 8th.
The infected staff member had close contact with a total of 13 people on campus, all of whom underwent COVID-19 testing. Among them, 7 tested negative, and 5 are awaiting their test results.

Following the staff member and Professor A's additional positive diagnosis, Korea University extended the closure period of Asan Science Hall by three days, from the 10th to the 13th. According to a university official, Professor A was conducting remote lectures. He reportedly took broadcasting equipment to the isolation ward, stating, "Although I contracted COVID-19, I will continue classes without disruption."
