Record of Minister Choo Mi-ae's Son's Unit Interview States "Parents Filed a Complaint"
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Seok-jin] It has been reported that the unit interview records of Seo Mo (27), the son of Justice Minister Choo Mi-ae, contain information stating that Seo's parents filed a complaint to extend his sick leave.
If the content of these records is proven true, it is expected to cause controversy as it contradicts Minister Choo's explanation that she was not involved in her son's leave issues.
According to the legal community on the 10th, a document titled "Regarding the Justice Minister's Son's Leave" from the Ministry of National Defense's Personnel Welfare Office, obtained by the office of Assemblyman Kim Do-eup and disclosed yesterday by Chosun Ilbo, states that "it has been confirmed that the parents filed a complaint regarding the extension of sick leave for Seo."
Additionally, the interview records reportedly include specific details of the situation at the time, such as Seo feeling sorry to ask the support team leader directly, consulting with his parents, who then filed the complaint, and the support team leader explaining the sick leave extension process to Seo and requesting that he ask directly next time.
These records are said to be from two interviews Seo had in 2017 concerning his sick leave, and are recorded in the "Regimental Integrated Administrative Work System," which manages administrative tasks of military units.
