The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family announced on the 7th that a total of 659 entries were submitted for the contest held between June and July, with 11 works receiving awards and 5 receiving encouragement prizes.
The grand prize-winning work "Please Open the Door of the Heart" uses the elevator door as a metaphor for the heart, contrasting language used when the heart is closed versus when it is open. For example, when closed, one might say, "How can a grandfather raise a child alone?" but when open, it changes to, "Grandfather, living with grandmother, you must be so loved!" and so on.
The excellence award-winning works "I Felt So Good on May 8th" and the encouragement award-winning "Proper Family Language Life" depict situations that could occur during elementary school art class, expressing from a child's perspective that families are not only composed of father, mother, and children but can also be diverse, such as mother and children, father and children, grandmother and grandchildren, and so forth.
The "All Families in the World, Let's Support Together" campaign received a total of 1,768 participations, sharing cases of mutual care and coexistence practices. The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family is sending support packages composed of goods produced by local small business owners to 1,000 families who posted excellent content.
