According to Haenam County on the 7th, the issuance amount of Haenam Sarang Gift Certificates, which can only be circulated within the region, has been expanded to 115 billion KRW, with sales reaching 98.2 billion KRW so far, showing a sales rate of 85.4%.
In particular, with 8% of national funding support amounting to 7.17 billion KRW, the two rounds of 10% discount sales have mostly sold out the amount of 54 billion KRW, providing a significant boost to the local economy ahead of the Chuseok holiday.
As of the 4th, through the 10% discount event for Haenam Sarang Gift Certificates, 50.7 billion KRW out of 54 billion KRW has been sold, leaving approximately 3.3 billion KRW remaining.
The county plans to offer a 7% discount for Chuseok starting the day after the remaining amount is sold out.
Expecting an increase in demand for Haenam Sarang Gift Certificates ahead of the holiday, the county will invest local funds to promote a 7% discount, similar to the Lunar New Year holiday, to support the local economy struggling due to the spread of COVID-19.
Haenam Sarang Gift Certificates can be purchased with a discount rate applied up to an annual purchase limit of 4 million KRW per individual. Gift certificates can be purchased at 35 financial institutions designated by Haenam County (including local agricultural and livestock cooperatives, Gwangju Bank, Haenam Credit Union, Woori Credit Union, Saemaeul Geumgo, Fisheries Cooperatives, and the Forestry Cooperative).
