On the afternoon of the 4th at 5 PM, the ‘Busan Port Ship Evacuation Council’ was held at the Busan Regional Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Office.
At the ‘Busan Port meeting,’ a ‘shelter order’ was issued, instructing all ships docked at the pier to evacuate to a safe location by 3 PM on the 6th.
Other ships anchored at Busan Port and other vessels must evacuate by 9 AM on the 6th. However, since typhoon ‘Haishen’ is intensifying, the evacuation completion time may be moved up depending on the typhoon situation.
The Busan Port Authority (BPA) has been operating an emergency response system since 9 AM on the 4th in preparation for the typhoon. From 6 PM on the 5th, when entering the typhoon’s influence zone, the emergency response team will be elevated to an emergency response headquarters and will operate a 24-hour emergency system until Busan Port is out of the typhoon’s influence.
