Typhoon No. 9 'Maysak' Preparedness: Busan Gijang-gun Holds 'Emergency Situation Assessment Meeting'
Typhoon No. 9 'Maysak' is expected to make landfall in Busan in the early morning of the 3rd. Accordingly, on the 2nd, Gijang-gun held a situation assessment meeting chaired by the county governor, attended by heads of departments, divisions, and offices, as well as chiefs of towns and townships.

County Governor Oh Gyu-seok ordered, "Waste or piled materials left on sidewalks, national roads, local roads, and expressways may be blown away by strong winds and cause secondary accidents, so thoroughly clean up sidewalks and road surroundings in advance."
Governor Oh also said, "Release water in reservoirs and small ponds within the jurisdiction in advance, and coordinate with the Korea Rural Community Corporation to adjust water levels in Byeongsan and Yongcheon reservoirs to implement safety measures in preparation for the typhoon."
Since the 31st of last month, Gijang-gun has been conducting preemptive safety measures and preventive activities for vulnerable facilities and areas through on-site patrols by relevant departments.
The county removed old banners in preparation for strong winds and secured facilities such as coastal fishing boats. They are also inspecting drainage in frequently flooded areas and conducting secondary inspections of emergency repair sites from the recent heavy rain.
