23-Minute Sketch of 'Galaxy Z Fold2 Unpack Part 2'
Emphasizing Convenience Beyond Foldable Large Screen and Portability
Simultaneous Work on 3 Apps... Attach Excel Drag to Email
"New Form Factor Innovates Communication and Content"
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] "Once you experience the Galaxy Z Fold2, it will be difficult to go back to a traditional smartphone."
Samsung Electronics defined it this way as it unveiled its third foldable phone, the 'Galaxy Z Fold2.' The innovation in form factor goes beyond folding and unfolding, offering freedom for both hands. The Galaxy Z Fold2 represents the evolution of foldables and Samsung Electronics' answer to the next era of smartphones.
The 'Galaxy Z Fold2 Unpack Part 2' event, held online on the 1st, was watched by over 50,000 people worldwide via YouTube and other platforms. Victor Delgado, head of Enterprise Sales & Marketing at Samsung Electronics' Wireless Business Division, introduced various features of the Galaxy Z Fold2 in a 23-minute studio presentation. The true value of the Galaxy Z Fold2 lies in its convenience that surpasses the large screen and portability of foldables.
Delgado demonstrated watching a video with the Galaxy Z Fold2 folded in an 'L' shape, then flipped the device to unfold the screen, filling it with the video. When he folded the Galaxy Z Fold2 and took a photo with the camera, the screen placed on the floor displayed previously taken photos. This was made possible by applying the 'Flex Mode,' first introduced in the Galaxy Z Flip, to the Galaxy Z Fold2 as well.

Thanks to the 'Auto Framing' technology, which recognizes the faces and movements of subjects and adjusts the shooting range accordingly, there is no need to step back. When you want to take a clear selfie with friends, you can use the rear camera while viewing the cover screen like a viewfinder. Hiroshi Lockheimer, Vice President of Google Platform & Ecosystem, said, "The form factor will revolutionize the way people communicate and create content."
Delgado showed multitasking by opening an email and an Excel file simultaneously, then dragging a completed Excel sheet, which was automatically attached to the email. Introducing the multitasking feature, he said, "There is no need to go back to the office for document work." Using the 'App Pair' feature, which runs three frequently used applications simultaneously, users can work with Gmail, Chrome, and Messages all at once.
The Galaxy Z Fold2 can run three apps simultaneously. It also supports the 'App Pair' feature, which allows you to group and use three apps together.

Foreign media pointed out that the target consumer base is clear given the high price, but they showed positive reactions toward the foldable product itself. CNBC described it as "an innovation-oriented product that might become the standard for phones." IT media The Verge said, "Even if this Fold is expensive today, consumers will pay more for the next Fold series." CNET explained, "It is not a mass-market product, but there will be a niche market willing to pay a premium."
The Galaxy Z Fold2 will be available for pre-order from the 11th to the 15th and officially released on the 18th. The price is the same as its predecessor at 2,398,000 KRW. It will be released in Mystic Black and Bronze colors. From the 4th, it can be experienced at Samsung Digital Plaza nationwide and five Galaxy Studios.
