According to Daejeon City on the 1st, all of these confirmed cases are members of the Full Gospel Daejeon Woori Church located in Birae-dong, Daejeon. The church pastor A (Daejeon case 259) was first confirmed positive for COVID-19 the day before.
Pastor A showed symptoms such as chills and fatigue starting from the 17th of last month, and on the 25th of last month, A’s wife (Geyang-gu case 88) was confirmed positive in Geyang-gu, Incheon.
During the epidemiological investigation, Pastor A and the congregation stated that they had been conducting online worship services since the 22nd of last month, when in-person religious activities were completely banned.
The quarantine authorities are investigating the confirmed cases to trace the COVID-19 transmission routes.
