Installation of Floodlights in Front of Stepping Stones Near Jungnangcheon Water Playground
Gwangjin-gu Installs Facilities to Enhance Safety and Convenience for Residents Using Jungnangcheon at Night
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Seon-gap) has installed floodlights in front of the stepping stones near the Mulnori Playground on Jungnangcheon Stream to ensure the safety and convenience of residents using the stream at night.
Jungnangcheon Stream, located between Gwangjin-gu and Dongdaemun-gu, is a popular spot used by many residents even at night. However, the area around the stepping stones connecting the two districts was dark, raising concerns about potential safety accidents.
In response, the district installed floodlights in August near the stepping stones that gather light and shine it in a specific direction. This allows residents using the stepping stones to secure visibility and cross safely.
The district plans to conduct a satisfaction survey among users in the future to collect residents' opinions and improve any necessary aspects.
