Daewoo E&C and SK E&C Jointly Awarded Phase 2 Construction of Ulsan Energy Terminal
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo In-ho] Daewoo E&C and SK E&C announced on the 1st that they have jointly won the construction contract for the 2nd phase LNG package at Ulsan North Port Energy Terminal.
This project involves constructing auxiliary facilities such as one LNG tank with a capacity of 215,000㎘ and vaporization and sending equipment with an annual capacity of approximately 1 million tons within Ulsan North Port from September this year to June 2024.
The two companies will form a joint venture to jointly perform all tasks as the primary contractor, including design, procurement, construction, and commissioning. The construction cost for the 2nd phase LNG package at Ulsan North Port Energy Terminal is approximately 204.7 billion KRW. The shareholding ratio is 51% for Daewoo E&C and 49% for SK E&C.
