Uiryeong-gun to Pay 500,000 KRW Per Taxi Driver Amid Sharp Decline in Passengers
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kang Sharon] Uiryeong-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 31st that it has provided livelihood support funds to taxi drivers struggling due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
This livelihood support fund is a measure for taxi drivers facing difficulties due to a decrease in passengers caused by the prolonged COVID-19 situation.
The support targets 65 taxi drivers registered with taxi companies residing within the county.
The county paid a total of 32.5 million won, 500,000 won per person, to them.
