Police Arrest Man in His 30s for Stabbing Biological Father to Death
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Dong-hoon] Police have apprehended a man in his 30s who killed his biological father with a weapon and fled.
The Mapo Police Station in Seoul announced on the 31st that they have applied for an arrest warrant for Park Mo, a man in his 30s suspected of parricide.
On the 23rd, Park killed his father with a weapon at a multi-family house in Mapo-gu, Seoul. Immediately after the killing, Park fled, and two days after the incident, on the 25th, Park's older brother found their deceased father and reported it to the police.
Based on closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage and other evidence, the police identified Park as a suspect. Subsequently, on the 29th, Park was arrested at an undisclosed location in Gyeongbuk. During the investigation, Park reportedly refused to make any statements related to the charges.

Originally, Park was scheduled to appear for a warrant hearing at the Seoul Western District Court that morning, but he was transferred to a nearby hospital due to convulsions. A police official stated, "We are investigating the detailed circumstances and motives of the crime," and added, "Depending on his treatment progress, he will be brought back for the warrant hearing soon."
