Construction Workers' Flood Damage Recovery Support Applications Open: "1 Million KRW Per Person, Total 100 Million KRW Paid"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] The Construction Workers Mutual Aid Association will begin accepting applications for the 'Construction Workers Flood Recovery Support Fund' from the 31st to assist construction workers affected by the recent record-breaking heavy rains.
An official from the Construction Workers Mutual Aid Association stated, "Amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we have implemented emergency flood recovery support to help construction workers whose livelihoods were damaged by the recent heavy rains."
The support fund will provide 1 million KRW per worker to 100 workers, totaling 100 million KRW.
The recipients are workers who have accumulated at least 100 days of retirement mutual aid contributions in the previous year and a total of 252 days or more in retirement mutual aid contributions, and who have suffered damage such as flooding to their primary residence due to the recent heavy rains. Applications may close early if the number of applicants is high.
To apply, applicants must prepare a 'Damage Confirmation Certificate' issued by the local government of their residence and a copy of their resident registration, and either visit the association's branch or center in person, apply by mail or fax, or apply online through the Construction Workers Hanaro Service.
Foreign construction workers must prepare a certificate of foreigner registration or a certificate of domestic residence report.
