'Mungchan' Choo Sunghoon vs Ahn Junghwan, Thigh Wrestling Showdown: "You Have to Go Fast When He's Tired" (Summary)
[Asia Economy, reporter Kim Jungho] Choo Sung-hoon and Ahn Junghwan faced off in a thigh wrestling match.
On the evening of August 30, JTBC's "Mungcheoyachanda" (hereafter referred to as "Mungchan") aired an episode featuring Choo Sung-hoon volunteering as a goalkeeper for the Eojjeoda FC team as a special guest player.
That day, Ahn Junghwan, who had recently succeeded in dieting, walked in from a distance. The other members could not hide their admiration, saying, "Now he walks like a model."
Additionally, Kim Yohan praised him, saying, "He really looks cool after losing weight." Heo Jae, who was standing next to him, complimented Ahn Junghwan's appearance by saying, "He gives off a floral scent."
Furthermore, Ahn Junghwan also showed his charisma as a coach. He said, "We have invited a special guest player," and added, "We will now enter a competitive system by position."
He then joked, "Those who need to come in, come in. Those who need to leave, leave," making everyone laugh. At Ahn Junghwan's call, Choo Sung-hoon made his entrance. Kim Donghyun joked about Choo Sung-hoon's appearance, saying, "Is this some kind of match entrance?" bringing laughter to those around him.
When Kim Sungjoo asked Choo Sung-hoon about his relationship with Kim Donghyun, Choo replied, "We've known each other for over 10 years," and added, "Donghyun is on several programs, but I have none," making Kim Donghyun flustered by turning it into a position competition for his livelihood.
Ahn Junghwan and Kim Sungjoo suggested a physical showdown between Choo Sung-hoon, an active fighter, and Kim Donghyun, a variety show veteran. In response, Choo Sung-hoon said, "I'm still active, but Kim Donghyun isn't."
Upon hearing this, Kim Donghyun confidently said, "I'm ready to compete today," and the two engaged in a tense psychological battle. Choo Sung-hoon explained his reason for coming from Hawaii as a guest player, saying, "Honestly, I don't have soccer experience, but after watching the show, I thought I could do it," showing his confidence. Kim Donghyun, in turn, looked visibly nervous.
Choo Sung-hoon also said, "The position I want is goalkeeper. There's no competition for the goalkeeper spot, so I wanted to try it," and looking at Kim Donghyun, he added, "I'm a bit afraid of the ball." Choo Sung-hoon further joked, "You need a lot of quick reflexes, but Kim Donghyun doesn't have them," which made everyone burst into laughter.
Aiming for the goalkeeper position, Choo Sung-hoon started a thigh wrestling match with his junior in martial arts, Kim Donghyun. In the first round, Kim Donghyun defended while Choo Sung-hoon attacked. The result was an instant victory for Choo Sung-hoon. In the next round, Kim Donghyun attacked, but still could not defeat Choo Sung-hoon. Ultimately, Choo Sung-hoon claimed victory.
Soon after, a match between Lee Daehun and Choo Sung-hoon took place. Lee Daehun tried to take advantage of the moment when Choo Sung-hoon might be tired, but after a fierce contest, Choo Sung-hoon also defeated Lee Daehun, drawing attention.
After easily defeating Kim Donghyun and Lee Hyungtaek in thigh wrestling, Choo Sung-hoon finally faced Ahn Junghwan. During Choo Sung-hoon's physical test, Kim Sungjoo mentioned the thigh wrestling match between Ahn Junghwan and Choo Sung-hoon that ended in a draw two years ago on "Mungcheoyatteunda," sparking interest.
The Eojjeoda FC members advised Ahn Junghwan to attack quickly while Choo Sung-hoon was tired, making him the third challenger. Ahn Junghwan, showing some nerves, said, "I'm stronger than before." However, in this rematch after two years, victory went to Choo Sung-hoon.
