Netizens' reactions after watching the video: "The composition clearly looks like an illegal recording"
[Asia Economy Reporter Geum Bo-ryeong] The popular travel community "Yeohaeng-e Michida," which has 1.2 million Instagram followers, experienced an incident where obscene material was posted on its official social network service (SNS).
On the 29th at around 6 p.m., a post introducing the sheep ranch in Pyeongchang, Gangwon-do was uploaded on Yeohaeng-e Michida's official Instagram. The post included a video suspected to be obscene material, prompting netizens who discovered it to demand an explanation.
Yeohaeng-e Michida immediately deleted the post and issued an apology. However, the apology did not include an explanation of the circumstances or follow-up measures, and they also posted a video of waves, which caused netizens to express discomfort.
In response, Yeohaeng-e Michida deleted the apology and posted a second apology. In the apology, Yeohaeng-e Michida stated, "The problematic video was confirmed to have been downloaded through web surfing and is not an illegally filmed video taken directly. This situation occurred due to carelessness during content upload," and added, "We plan to refer the matter to judicial authorities for a more accurate judgment."
They also said, "In addition to the mandatory corporate legal education, we will conduct additional sexual ethics training for all employees," and added, "We will suspend operation of all Yeohaeng-e Michida channels until sincere problem resolution, including internal education, is completed."
Netizens who viewed the video related to this incident commented, "The composition clearly looks like an illegal filming," and "The fact that they possessed and distributed illegal filming material remains unchanged."
