View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Dong-wook] Two residents of Yecheon, Gyeongbuk, tested positive for COVID-19 on the 29th.
According to Yecheon County, a self-employed person in their 50s living in Yecheon-eup and a person in their 30s living in Eunpung-myeon were notified of their COVID-19 positive results on the same day.
Both individuals, who work at the same workplace, developed a fever on the 27th and were tested the following day, resulting in positive diagnoses. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the Yecheon area to 46.
A Yecheon County official stated, "The infection routes and movement paths of these individuals are currently under investigation," adding, "We are identifying close contacts and conducting diagnostic tests."

Meanwhile, in Gyeongbuk Province, one case was confirmed the previous day in Pohang, an imported case (a person in their 40s who traveled to the United States for business). Including the Yecheon cases on this day, the total number of confirmed cases in Gyeongbuk stands at 1,410.
