According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, on this day, Typhoon Maysak was moving northwest-west at a speed of 14 km/h over the sea approximately 1040 km northeast-east of Manila, Philippines. The central pressure is 998 hPa, and the radius of strong winds is 200 km.
This typhoon is expected to affect South Korea around the 2nd of next month after passing over the seas near the Philippines and Okinawa. According to the current forecast, the typhoon is expected to be located about 200 km south-southwest of Seogwipo in the afternoon of September 2nd.
The Korea Meteorological Administration urged, "The position of the typhoon can still be variable," and requested, "Please check the latest weather information released."
