According to Pohang City on the 28th, the company invested 2 billion won since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) this year to complete a production line capable of producing 200,000 masks per day and is currently awaiting KF certification from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety.
Earlier, in March, Pohang City announced the necessity of establishing a mask factory to ensure stable supply in the region as the mask shortage due to COVID-19 continued, and several companies expressed their intention to establish production factories in Pohang City.

On the 28th, Mayor Kangdeok Lee, who visited the production factory in person, said, "Even before COVID-19, Pohang region spent 1.5 billion won annually to purchase fine dust and yellow dust masks and distribute them to vulnerable groups," adding, "Once the mask production factory in the region is operational, we will no longer have to repeat the painful experience of seeing citizens frustrated because they could not obtain masks."
