The ceremony, conducted online, included a total of 7,070 recipients: 6,570 bachelor's degrees, 370 master's degrees, and 130 Prime College graduates. Representative awards such as the top graduate award were also presented, and video messages from Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun and others were delivered, fitting for an online degree conferment ceremony. President Ryu Sunoh of KNOU said, "I sincerely hope that all bachelor's and master's graduates leaving the university today become proud KNOU members who are trusted and respected anytime and anywhere." On this day, KNOU minimized the number of participants in accordance with COVID-19 prevention guidelines, mandating temperature checks and mask-wearing for all entrants. Meanwhile, KNOU reported having many unique graduates. Among them were graduate Lee Jaesook, who lived in the United States, took all semesters online, and visited Korea eight times over four years to take final exams; graduate Ahn Howon, who earned a degree in Korean Language and Literature 20 years after enrollment; graduate Kwon Yunmoon, who started in Public Administration in 1980 and earned a total of eight degrees from KNOU over 40 years; and the oldest graduate of this ceremony, 92-year-old master's degree recipient Woo Jebong.
