KEPCO KDN Gradually Shifts to Non-Face-to-Face and Online Operations... "Preparing for Post-Corona"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] KEPCO KDN announced on the 28th that it is proactively responding to the post-COVID-19 era by adopting non-face-to-face and online work methods.
In the first half of this year, KEPCO KDN conducted online training for new employees, including special lectures by management, training on new employee competencies and common technologies, and the latest ICT trends. Additionally, since last month, the company has introduced and operated a cloud-based non-face-to-face remote education system in the internal training sector.
Through this, a training environment was established where new employees and trainees can communicate in real-time with professional instructors online from home without being affected by COVID-19.
KEPCO KDN expects that non-face-to-face education management will become more convenient, enabling training even during telecommuting or business trips, and will also contribute to improving work efficiency.
The annual internal performance and outstanding department award ceremony, which was previously held offline, was recently conducted online through a video conferencing system. During the event, President Park Sung-chul remotely presented an award to the Daegu Regional Headquarters, selected as the top growth region office, and took time to communicate with local office employees.
KEPCO KDN is promoting major events in the second half of the year by converting them to non-face-to-face and online formats, such as holding the university student PR ambassador "KEMI" inauguration ceremony via YouTube live broadcast and hosting the "New Deal Leading Innovation Hackathon" through online video conferencing.
While conducting online recruitment briefings, the company is also strengthening its telecommuting infrastructure by expanding server virtualization services, striving to build a post-COVID-19 work environment.
