According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 26th, two new COVID-19 cases were confirmed, classified as Gwangju cases 292 and 293.
Case 292 is a resident of Suwan-dong, Gwangsan-gu, with an unknown infection route, and case 293, residing in Usan-dong, Gwangsan-gu, was confirmed to have had contact with case 291.
The infection route of case 291 has not yet been identified.
Since the 12th, a total of 77 confirmed cases have occurred in the Gwangju area. Among them, 69 are local infections and 8 are imported cases.
The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases from the 12th to the present (6 p.m. on the 26th) are as follows: 2→2→2→6→7→4→6→1→5→11→17→1→4→7→2.
Meanwhile, the Central Disease Control Headquarters urged caution regarding the disclosure of confirmed patients' movement paths during the regular briefing on the same day.
The Central Disease Control Headquarters stated, "The disclosure of confirmed patients' movement paths does not mean revealing all their schedules, but selectively disclosing information that the public needs to know for quarantine purposes," adding, "It is necessary to disclose only information essential for infectious disease prevention, considering various aspects such as protecting the privacy of confirmed patients."
