Kim Won-hae's Side "Under Treatment After Testing Positive for COVID-19... Symptoms Are Stable"

[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Min Jun-young] Actor Kim Won-hae, who tested positive for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), has announced that he is currently receiving treatment at a quarantine facility.

Kim Won-hae’s agency, DoubleSG Company, posted on their official Instagram on the 26th, stating, "During rehearsals for the play 'Jjamppong,' a cast member tested positive for COVID-19. On the 19th, Kim Won-hae voluntarily underwent testing and was confirmed positive while in self-quarantine."

The agency added, "He is currently hospitalized in a quarantine facility receiving treatment, and his symptoms are stable. The actor’s on-site manager also underwent COVID-19 testing and received a negative result. The manager will continue self-quarantine and is scheduled for a re-test two weeks later."

They continued, "Our office and vehicles have all been disinfected, and all executives and staff are working remotely as much as possible. We sincerely apologize for causing concern to many people and will do our best to ensure the actor makes a full recovery."

Furthermore, they added, "As COVID-19 cases are currently increasing, we ask everyone to follow quarantine guidelines to prevent further spread and to take care of your health."

Kim Won-hae had previously tested positive for COVID-19 on the 20th.

Additionally, actors Seo Seong-jong and Heo Dong-won, who were also appearing in the play 'Jjamppong,' tested positive for COVID-19.

Accordingly, Kim Won-hae’s side has canceled all scheduled events based on the test results.

Meanwhile, actors Seo Yi-sook, Go Ah-ra, Lee Jae-wook, Ye Ji-won, Kim Hee-jung, and Oh Man-seok have also undergone COVID-19 testing recently.

Although they were not close contacts, they are currently self-quarantining following negative test results and in accordance with health authorities’ guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
