Uljin-gun's Wangpicheon Cable Car Sees 1,000 Daily Riders... "Operating Even During Lunch Hours"
Operating Hours Changed Starting September 1
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Uljin-gun, Gyeongbuk announced on the 25th that the operating hours of the 'Wangpicheon Cable Car' will be changed starting September 1st.
The previous opening time in the morning will be unified to 10 a.m. regardless of the season, and except for midsummer (July to August), the cable car will continue to operate during lunchtime as well. Accordingly, from September 1st, the cable car will operate continuously from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The Wangpicheon Cable Car has established itself as a representative local tourist attraction, with an average of about 980 tourists using it daily since its opening on July 1st. A cable car website that allows advance reservations has also been launched.

Jung Ho-gak, head of the Uljin-gun Facility Management Office, said, "Although the situation is difficult due to COVID-19, we will thoroughly implement quarantine measures to ensure that tourists visiting the Wangpicheon Cable Car feel safe, and we will also accelerate the maintenance of infrastructure around the tourist site."
