Crew member B, who sustained serious injuries from the attacker, was transported to Mokpo Hanguk Hospital and is receiving intensive care in the intensive care unit. His condition is gradually improving and he is recovering.
According to the maritime police investigation, A testified that he committed the crime in a fit of anger after a verbal dispute with B while they were sorting the catch on the bow deck.
