[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Dong-hoon] One employee of the Judicial Research and Training Institute located in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do tested positive for COVID-19 on the 23rd.
The Judicial Research and Training Institute announced that one employee tested positive for COVID-19 on the afternoon of the same day. The institute stated, "We have requested an epidemiological investigation from the local health center," and added, "We will closely cooperate with the quarantine authorities and promptly take additional measures."
The employee was tested on the 22nd after a cluster of infections occurred among children and parents at the daycare center attended by the employee’s child. After confirming the employee’s positive status, the institute placed all five close contacts under self-quarantine and required them to undergo diagnostic testing. Twelve secondary contacts were also notified to self-quarantine.

Additionally, the institute suspended commuter bus operations on the 24th and postponed all scheduled meetings and events. All faculty and staff of the Judicial Research and Training Institute will begin alternating shifts for two weeks.
