[Asia Economy Reporter Park Byung-hee] The musical 'Kinky Boots' performances scheduled for the 22nd and 23rd have been canceled. This is because one of the cast members was confirmed to have had close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19.
The production company CJ ENM of 'Kinky Boots' stated on the 22nd, "It was confirmed around 11 a.m. on the 22nd that an acquaintance who had contact with a cast member of this performance tested positive for COVID-19." They added, "The cast member immediately underwent a COVID-19 test and is currently in self-quarantine." Furthermore, "The test results are expected by tomorrow morning, and for the safety of all actors, staff, and audience members, today's and tomorrow's performances have been canceled." They also said, "We will promptly announce the test results and any further decisions."
CJ ENM conveyed, "We deeply apologize for the inconvenience caused to the audience who have been waiting for 'Kinky Boots' and kindly ask for your understanding."
Reservations for the canceled performances will be collectively canceled through the booking platform without any cancellation fees.
