[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Min Jun-young] Actor Lee Hee-joon revealed that he lost contact with his wife Lee Hye-jung three weeks before their wedding.

On the 19th, the MBC entertainment program 'Radio Star' aired a special episode titled 'Late Bloomers,' featuring Lee Hee-joon, Na Moon-hee, Choi Won-young, and comedian Lee Su-ji.

During the broadcast, Lee Hee-joon said, "Just like the plot of the movie 'Helpless' that I starred in, my wife suddenly went silent three weeks before our wedding."

He continued, "I was very surprised, but I heard that this happens often. Lee Hye-jung was experiencing marriage blue, a depressive feeling before marriage."

He added, "She said it felt like life would end after marriage, suddenly stopped answering calls, and disappeared. She said, 'I think you don't love me.' It was a completely unexpected situation, so I went around looking for her everywhere," he recalled.

He went on, "After a week, she contacted me to come to the Han River. When I got there, she told me to get in her car. I got in, apologized without knowing what I did wrong, and said, 'I'm sorry,' 'Let's go home,' and 'I love you.' Even now, I don't quite understand it. When I talk about this these days, she says, 'Did I really do that?' I guess those hormones were at play back then," he said.

In response, Kim Gu-ra said, "Your wife probably remembers it vividly but pretends not to because she feels embarrassed," which drew laughter.

Lee Hee-joon also shared an episode where he cried after hearing something from Lee Hye-jung while doing the dishes.

He said, "My wife was exhausted from childcare, so I did the dishes, but maybe the sound was too loud. She said, 'Are you trying to wake me up on purpose?' and that made me very sad," he said.

He added, "I went out to the yard and stood there, thinking, 'Is this what I dreamed of at 42?' and tears came to my eyes. When I went back inside, my wife apologized, saying she was sorry," he added.
