COVID-19 Case Confirmed at Korea Technology Center in Yeoksam-dong, Seoul... 2nd Floor Closed
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] The Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT) announced that one confirmed case of COVID-19 was reported on the 2nd floor of the Korea Technology Center building in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, where the institute is located, and the floor will be closed from 3 p.m. on the 19th.
As of 4:30 p.m., emergency disinfection measures for the 2nd floor have been completed, and other floors in the building were also disinfected. The 38 employees working on the affected floor have started working from home for two weeks until the 1st of next month.
KIAT plans to switch to an emergency work system while ensuring that there is no disruption in responding to external customers.

A KIAT official explained, "Although the temporary closure is planned to be lifted from the afternoon of the 20th, 24 hours after the closure, the reopening time may vary depending on the guidelines of the health authorities, the results of the epidemiological investigation, and the trend of confirmed cases."
