Governor Yu visited the Mujang-myeon roundabout, Seoksu reservoir, habitual flooding areas on the Asan-myeon road, and the road slopes in Gochang-eup, which are frequently flooded due to concentrated summer heavy rains, and urged thorough management as these areas have posed significant risks to residents' property and lives every year.
He also visited heatwave shelters to prepare for the summer heat, checking air conditioning units and directly listening to residents' requests, continuing on-site administrative communication.
Especially during his visit to the Mujang-myeon roundabout, he stated, “The main access road to Cheongboribat, a representative tourist site of Gochang, is habitually flooded during heavy rains, which can cause great damage and inconvenience to residents and visitors,” and instructed, “We must find and resolve the fundamental causes.”
