70s Arrested for Wielding a Weapon at Firefighters Dispatched After a Report

On the 18th, the Incheon Western Police Station announced that they have detained and are investigating A (76) on charges of obstruction of official duties causing injury and other offenses.
A is accused of injuring B, a 28-year-old female firefighter from the Incheon Western Fire Station, by wielding a weapon at the entrance of an apartment in Seo-gu, Incheon, at around 3:50 a.m. on July 27.
According to the police, A's wife, C, sought help at the apartment security office after A, who shows symptoms of dementia, exhibited abnormal behavior such as wielding a weapon inside their home.
Firefighter B, who responded to the security guard's report, was injured by the weapon wielded by A at the entrance of the apartment building.
During the police investigation, A reportedly stated, "I admit that I went out holding a weapon, but I do not remember injuring B."
