Jang Je-won: "Lee Nak-yeon, Regressive Historical Awareness... Flustered by Declining Presidential Election Support?"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] Regarding Kim Won-woong, the chairman of the Liberation Association's commemorative speech, Lee Nak-yeon, the Democratic Party presidential candidate, said, "He can say that much," but Jang Je-won, a member of the United Future Party, described it as a "regressive historical perception" and said, "He clearly seems flustered by the drop in support rates for the next presidential election."
On the 17th, Representative Jang said on Facebook, "No matter how much it is during the party convention period and he is busy 'watching the pro-Moon faction,' his perception is truly surprising."
Earlier, Candidate Lee pointed out that the opposition party was making a fuss, saying, "He can say that much," regarding Kim Won-woong's commemorative speech. In response, Representative Jang said, "It is clearly inappropriate behavior to label the first president of the Republic of Korea as 'someone colluding with pro-Japanese collaborators' and the composer of the national anthem, which all citizens sing together, as a 'traitor to the nation' in the midst of a solemn ceremony commemorating Korea's liberation," adding, "The rationality to say what is wrong is wrong, a sense of balance that prioritizes national unity beyond factions, and the minimum qualifications required as the next president."
He also criticized Candidate Lee's remark that "those who inherited the dictatorship era now call the present a dictatorship," saying, "He clearly seems flustered by the drop in support rates for the next presidential election."

Representative Jang said, "I cannot help but ask whether the world that the Lee Nak-yeon government dreams of is nothing more than dividing public opinion and digging up graves to desecrate them," adding, "Even if Representative Lee Nak-yeon becomes the Democratic Party leader with such a regressive historical perception, not only the Democratic Party but also his own presidential campaign does not look bright."
